Have you ever done anything in the past that you are ashamed of today?

I. Confess Your to God

A. Peter went out and wept bitterly

B. Be transparent with God  –  1 John 1:8-10

C. Get honest with God

D. Confession is simply agreeing with God your sin is sin

E. Don’t blame others for your failures

Adam blamed Eve then God
Paul took the blame

1 Timothy 1:12-14  |  Psalm 139:23

PERSONAL NOTES:

 

II. Confess Your to Others
James 5:16

A. You don’t have to confess your sins

B. You need to be willing to admit your faults

C. When someone brings up your past discretions, just say, “Yes, I blew it.”

D. No excuse – I made a mistake   –  1 Peter 4:3  |  Proverbs 28:13

E. Don’t try to prove you’ve done nothing wrong

F. Pride brings shame

Proverbs 11:2  |  Proverbs 16:18  |  Proverbs 29:23

PERSONAL NOTES:

 

III. Recognize Everyone
Romans 3:9-18, 23

A. Those that judge you are no better than you

B. You are no better than those that judge you  –  Romans 2:1

C. Everyone of us will appear before the judgement seat of Christ  –  2 Corinthians 5:10

D. His is the only opinion that matters

E. You have failed and you will fail again. Just keep moving forward  –  1 Corinthians 10:12-13

IV. Surrender With the Holy Ghost
Ephesians 5:18

A. This is a daily surrender

B. Be – ye – being filled

C. Ask Him to control you daily

D. When you are filled you will

– Think of other people’s needs more than your own and this will help you overcome your insecurities

E. You will speak His World boldly

PERSONAL NOTES:

 

V. Focus on the of Jesus Christ

A. Good – Deed done
– The lame man was right next to him – v. 10

B. Jesus was the one you killed, and God rose from the dead  –  Psalm 118:22

C. There is salvation in His Name

– Only in His Name
– You can have this salvation

Conclusion
You do not have to live defected by your past failure

I. Confess your past sin to God
II. Admit your faults to others
III. Recognize everyone fails
IV. Surrender to the Holy Spirit’s control
V. Focus on the Good News of Jesus Christ

You can live without guilt or shame. You can life in victory
