You Choose Part Three Self-Determination Vs God’s Design

1. You can choose – Evolution

You can choose – to believe everything that existed and or now exists, including human beings, did and or does so as the result of some form or forms of evolutionary theories over billions of years.

Or You Choose Divine Design

You can Choose to believe what the Bible says; In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth Genesis 1 :1 and in Genesis 1 :26; the Bible says; God created humanity exclusively, in His image and likeness.

2. You can choose “Survival of the Fittest”

Or You Can Choose to Believe Everybody Matters

Colossians 3:15 (NLT); And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (NLT); Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.

Titus 3:8 (NLT); This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

You can choose to believe there is really no such thing as choice.

However, that in itself is a choice.

You can choose to believe that God doesn’t give us choice

Or You can choose to believe that the Bible actually says we have choices and specifically the choice to become part of the family of God, the Body of Christ.

Some verses may seem like contradictions:

Joshua 24:14 (NLT); “So fear the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone.

Joshua 24:15 (NLT); But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

Matthew 4:19-20 (NLT); Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” 20 And they left their nets at once and followed Him.

John 15:16 (NLT); You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

Matthew 10:38 (NLT); If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.

Matthew 7:13 (NLT); “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to Hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.

Matthew 7:14 (NLT); But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

This is what we believe the reality is:

Romans 6:16 (NLT); Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God. which leads to righteous living.

The Bottom Line

It’s your choice to believe you are a self-determining finite being or that you are created as an eternal being by Almighty God for relationship with Him by His grace through faith and our loving obedience to Him.
