“Who’s Next?” Part II
April 26, 2020Acts 1:1-2 (NLT); In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day He was taken up to heaven after giving His chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit.
The Promise – The – The Power – The Practical
The “Person,” of the Holy Spirit – God of God, Spirit of Spirit, eternally existing.
Revealed to us, in the creation of human time, space and creation.
Genesis 1:2 (NLT); The Earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was over the surface of the waters.
The Promise is the Person, (The Spirit) more than only power The Promise; is the Person (The Spirit), who the power; to give the baptism
John 15:26 (NLT); “But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of . He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about Me.
John 16:13 (NLT); When the Spirit of truth comes, He will you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the
Acts 1:8 (NLT); But you will receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:9-10 (NLT); After saying this, He was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see Him. As they strained to see Him rising into Heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them.
Who was there on the Day of Pentecost, in the Upper Room?
Acts 1:12-14 (NLT); Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile. When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying.
Here are the names of those who were present: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (the zealot), and Judas (son of James).
They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
Mary became a l! The Spirit moved upon her to become with Jesus and the Spirit moved upon her to her story!
Acts 2:1-4 (NLT); On the day of Pentecost the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from Heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.
Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And present was with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
What difference did it make? Just ask
Acts 2:14-18 (NLT); Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, “Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.
These people are not drunk, as some of you are assuming. Nine o’clock in the morning is much too early for that. No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel:
‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.
Acts 2:36-39 (NLT); “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both and !”
Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”
Peter replied, “Each of you must of your sins and to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the of the Holy Spirit. This is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”
We can experience the of the and of the Holy Spirit!
Acts 2:40,41(NLT); Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about in all.
The Practical – Application – We should walk with the presence of the Holy Spirit, the “,” the “Spirit of ” “” and “.”
What difference does that make, or should it make? The key word is; make!
Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT); But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
So, who’s next? Are you?
