“The Word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, , will accomplish the plan of God!” Rev. G.A. Clark
1. I Believe in Biblical Living – Living out the Word of God. Psalm 86:11 (NLT); me Your ways, O Lord, that I may live to Your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honour You.
Romans 8:11-14 (NLT); The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its , you will die. But if through the of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are of God.
2. I Believe in Spirit-Led and Empowered Living
James 1:19-21 (NLT); Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be to listen, to speak, and slow to get . Human anger does not produce the God desires. So, get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
3. I Believe that Living out Biblical Character Matters
Galatians 5:14-16 (NLT); For the whole law can be summed up in this one : “Love your neighbour as yourself.” But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of one another. So, I say, let the Holy Spirit your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Comments – what is the sinful nature? Galatians 5:17-21 (NLT); The sinful nature wants to do which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under to the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, , lustful pleasures, , sorcery, hostility, quarreling, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, division, envy, , wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will inherit the Kingdom of God.
License to do something does not make it right to do something. The cornerstone to Christian liberty is the Word of God not man-made law. True Christian liberty produces the fruit of the Spirit and that fruit is of benefit to ourselves and to those around us.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT); But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
What does your life produce? Galatians 5:25 (NLT); Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s in part of our lives.
How are you living?
