Some of what we do know found in Revelation 21 What was John describing in Revelation 21 and 22? This is the only time, for all eternity, the phrase – “Heaven on Earth,” has or will have any true value.
Revelation 21:1-8(NLT); Then I saw a Heaven and a Earth, for the old Heaven and the old Earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will with them. He wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone .”
And the One sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” And He also said, “It is I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be My children.
“But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This the second death.”
John goes on to talk about the magnificence of the New Jerusalem that He is shown. let me answer more questions using another verse.
Revelation 21:21 (NLT); The twelve gates were made of —each gate from a pearl! And the main street was pure , as clear as glass.
One more thing; Peter is not standing at the Pearly Gates with a list of who is getting in and who’s not.
Revelation 21:12 (NLT); The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates by twelve . And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates.
We choose whether or not we go to Heaven and the only we go to Heaven, according to the Bible, is to ask to receive through Jesus Christ.
