Celebrate because He came

Isaiah 9:6;(NLT); For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Celebrating Christmas officially began in the December 25th A.D. First Christmas

There is no Biblical command for or against celebrating Christmas. The Bible does command us to celebrate Jesus and often with

There are plenty of reasons to celebrate Jesus and Christmas with singing and with !

We can celebrate the just because He came!

By the way, it’s not legal or illegal or required to celebrate ours or other people’s but most of us do.

The first known Christmas carol was and is; “Jesus , Omnium” (Jesus of all Nations) from the 4th Century A.D.

An Old Testament block

1 Chronicles 16:8; (NLT) Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done.

Psalm 30:4 (NLT); Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise His holy name.

Isaiah 12:5; (NLT); Sing to the Lord, for He has done wonderful things. Make known His praise around the world.

John 1:14 (NLT); So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s One and Only Son.

In the Old Testament, they built a of praise and singing even before the INCARNATION had occurred.

Luke 2:9-14;(NLT); Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

Do not misunderstand Jesus is the Eternal Word Do not misunderstand Jesus was and is the eternal Living Word.

John 1:1:(NLT); In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Luke 2:12; (NLT); And you will recognize Him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:13-14;(NLT); Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others-the armies of heaven-praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on Earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

The angels did sing at the the angels did not sing at the INCARNATION but they did praise God!

We sing because He didn’t come for , He came to save and !

Why should we sing Christmas Carols? Because Jesus didn’t come to save the angels, He came to offer salvation to You and me!

Christmas carols were in England from 1649-

Christmas carol singing was banned in England by Oliver Cromwell from 1649 to 1660. Cromwell was wrong!

Colossians 3:16; (NLT); Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

We have many reasons to sing and praise God

As followers of Jesus; sing and praise God for the !

Sing and praise God for His , Burial and

Sing and praise God for His love, and grace!

Sing and praise God for all He has is and do in your life!

Ephesians 1:6-7 ;(NLT); So we praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.

John 3:16-17; (NLT); “For God loved the world so much that He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. Hope Music Video
