You can run but you can’t hide
Jonah 1:1-3 (1) The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: (2) “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” (3) But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish.

You don’t belong to yourself; You were bought with a price
(3)…After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord” Jonah 1:1-3

You will never outrun God
Psalm 139:7-14 7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
12 Even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

You cannot get away from God’s mercy and love
Psalms 34:18-19 (18) If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.
(19) Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time.
Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

If you stay PLANTED in GOD’S HOUSE your enemy doesn’t stand a chance
Psalms 27:4 (AMP) One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
Psalms 27:8 (AMP) You have said, “Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need].” My heart says to You, “Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].”
Your enemy can’t stand before you when you have God within you.
Joshua 1:5 (NLT) No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you, I will not abandon you.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Deuteronomy 28:7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
