Made Well Pt. 1 “I’m Sick”
July 25, 2021
Do you want to be made well?
John 5:1-5 NLT
1 Afterward Jesus returned to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish holy days. 2 Inside the city, near the Sheep Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. 3 Crowds of sick people—blind, lame, or paralyzed—lay on the porches. 5 One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years.
Luke 5:31 NLT
31 Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
The pain we refuse to recognize will keep us sick.

LIFE GROUP DISCUSSION
Start talking
- Share about a scar you have and how you got it.
Start thinking
- How do you think a wound on our heart is similar to a physical wound?
Start sharing
- How do you tend to react to pain in your life? (I.e. closed off, pretend it didn’t happen, tell lots of people).
Start praying. Be bold, and pray with power.
- Ask the group to stop and take time to share prayer requests and pray for one another.
Start doing
- This week, meditate and talk to Jesus (or write) about a memory in your life that brings you pain.
