Christmas Eve

1) ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS: HOPE

Psalms 27:13

“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”

“God will work all things together for good”

2) ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS: PEACE

         A) Peace with God

Romans 5:1

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us”

Romans 5:6

6 “When we were utterly helpless Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good, but God showed his great love for us by sending his son Jesus Christ to died for us while we were still sinners.  And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God’s judgment. For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God- all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends with God”

Isaiah 9:6-7

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”
