WE ARE THE CHURCH
January 23, 2022WE ARE THE CHURCH
Rev. Brad Westercamp
If you have confessed your sins to God and given Jesus “Lordship” in your life, then you are the “Church”.
Text- Ephesians 4:1-16
- Capital of the Roman Providence of Asia.
- Ephesus means “desirable” in the Greek.
- Paul took up a 3-year residence at the church in Ephesus.
- Timothy later pastored this church.
- The Apostle John had a vision about this church.
Rev. 2 – “You have lost your first love.”
Vss. 4-6:
We Are…
- One Body
- One Spirit
We Have…
- One Glorious Hope
- One Lord
- One Faith
- One Baptism
- One God and Father
I. Keep Forgiving.
There’s no such thing as perfect Christian.
Ephesians 4:1-6, 1 Peter 3:8-12
Unity is something that must be worked at.
“Perfect churches don’t exist but churches should be the norm.”
II. Keep Serving.
Grace was never intended to be wasted.
Ephesians 4:7-13, Philippians 2:1-2
It’s impossible to be spiritually fit without serving.
“Serving others allows us to be stretched, strengthened, and alert to the of Jesus.”
III. Keep Loving.
Our spiritual maturity is proven by the depth of our love.
Ephesians 4:14-16, 2 Corinthians 5:11-15
Withholding love is never a justifiable option for Jesus Followers.
“Love us to feel and do something for those who are hurting.”
I implore you, Crossroads Church, to remain obedient to voice of God
and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
May others see Jesus through you and me.
