Trust Factors: Week 1 – Moral Failure

March 21, 2021

Sticky Point: One man’s failure is not failure!

Proverbs 19:21 reminds us: There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. (KJV)

See, James 1:13-15 reminds us: When people are tempted, they should not say, “God is tempting me.” Evil cannot tempt God, and God himself does not tempt anyone. But people are tempted when their own evil desire leads them away and traps them. This desire leads to sin, and then the sin grows and brings death. (NCV)

||Trust Factor #1: God Can’t Fail Us||

Deuteronomy 31:6 says – Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them! For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.” (TLB)

Psalm 143:8 says – Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. (NIV)

1 Corinthians 4:1-5:

People should think of us as servants of Christ, the ones God has trusted with his secrets. Now in this way those who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust. As for myself, I do not care if I am judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself. I know of no wrong I have done, but this does not make me right before the Lord. The Lord is the One who judges me. So do not judge before the right time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light things that are now hidden in darkness, and will make known the secret purposes of people’s hearts. Then God will praise each one of them. (NCV)

 |KEY POINT| God’s Judgement is Greater Than Your !

Psalm 9:7 (NIV)- The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.

2. Isn’t Permanent – 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NCV)

He will bring to light things that are now hidden in darkness, and will make known the secret purposes of people’s hearts. Then God will praise each one of them.

Psalm 18:28 (NIV)- You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
