Following the Servant
Mark 1:29-39
Jesus, the Sacrificial Servant, backs up His words with works, the healing of Peter’s mother-in-law and those who were sick and demon-possessed, and in the process solidifies the faith of His disciples. Just think of what we’ve already seen in Mark 1:
– We saw the Spirit descend on Jesus at his baptism
– We saw the Father speak His infinite love into Jesus’ life saying, “You are my Son. You delight me.”
– Now Jesus is back for that. He was God but He was also a human being, and He needed it. THE POWER OF JESUS’ LIFE, is the joy of being God’s Son, the second person of the Trinity.

If you have a smart phone, one very practical way for you to pray for our pastoral staff is to do the following:
1. Go to text messages and type in the address line: 74574
2. Type in the word, “Pastor”
3. It will respond: “Would you like ‘daily’ or ‘weekly’ reminders to pray for your pastor?”
4. Respond by typing in either ‘daily’ or ‘weekly.’
You’re all set up and you will start to receive daily or weekly reminders to pray that include a request and a Scripture reference. As you receive those reminders, PRAY. Thank you.
