Daily Meditations

Memory verse:  “Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21

Read John 20.  What happened when Mary realized who was talking to her?  See 20:16

Why do you think Jesus refers to peace in these verses?

Read John 20:10-29.  When have you been exceptionally filled with joy about your relationship with Christ?

How can you celebrate your relationship with the living Christ this week?

Read John 20:10-29.  What did Jesus say to the disciples in 20:19?

According to 20:20 how did the disciples respond to seeing Jesus?

Read John 20:10-29.  What did Jesus tell His disciples about forgiving sins? See John 20:23.

If you had been in that room with the disciples, how might you have reacted when Jesus appeared?

Read John 20:10-29. What did Thomas say he needed in order to believe that Jesus was raised from the dead?  See John 20:25.

What did Jesus say about seeing and believing in John 20:27-29?

Finish any devotions you may have missed and then spend some time today reading over and working on memorizing this week’s memory verse.  Please pray that our church would be a church that would be known as a place of radical forgiveness and pray for God’s Spirit to be poured out over our worship service this next weekend.   Is there an unchurched friend you can call and invite?
