The Bible Is…

God Breathed
(2 Timothy 3:16-17) All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.

Gives our lives direction
(Psalm 119:105) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path

Keeps us from sin
(Psalm 119:11) Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against God.

Gives us hope
(Psalm 119:49) Remember your promise to me; it is my ONLY HOPE

Eternal
(Matthew 24:35) Heaven and earth will pass away but MY WORDS will not pass away

Alive and Powerful
(Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest of two-edged sword, cutting between the soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires

Gives our lives stability & prosperity
(Psalm 1) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful…but his delight is in the law and in that law doth he meditate day and night…(promise) for he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

A weapon against our enemies
(Ephesians 6:17) Take the helmet of salvation and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the Word of God.
