Tough Questions: How Can I Know God’s Will?

Steps to knowing God’s will:

  1. that I need guidance

    “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.”   Psalm 25:9 (NIV) 

  1. in faith for direction

         “If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him, and he will gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him; he will not resent it.  But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to tell you.   James 1:5-6 (TLB) 

  1. for God’s response

        “God does speak—sometimes one way and sometimes another—  even though people may not understand it.”   Job 33:14 (NCV) 

         

         

         

         

  1. God when I don’t understand

    “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways acknowledge him,  and he will make your paths straight.”   Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
