                                            The New You:   Ambassador

                                                 II Cor 5:17-18; 20

As a follower of Jesus, God gives you a new

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor. 5:17 (NIV)

In Christ, there is a you! 

Sometimes we are not sure about our

           When you know you are, you’ll know to do!

Many Christians don’t know they are in Christ

God has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  2 Cor. 5:19 (NIV)

  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. 2 Cor. 5:20 (NIV)

Knowing Who You Are:

  1. You are an sent by God
  2. As Christ’s ambassador you were not elected by but chosen and appointed by !

 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. John 15:16 

As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. John 15:19 (NIV)

  But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles… Acts 9:15 (NIV)

       3. As Christ’s ambassador you never represent , you always represent

  For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. John 6:38 (NIV)

  1. As Christ’s ambassador you speak in the you’ve been given

 I may seem to be boasting too much about the authority given to us by the Lord. But our authority builds you up; it doesn’t tear you down. So I will not be ashamed of using my authority. 2 Corinthians 10:8 (NLT)

When you know you are Christ’s , you’ll know to do!
