                                                 Holy Week – His Last Supper

                                                             Luke 22:14-20

What does it mean to be a of Jesus today? 

    If anyone would come after me,  he must deny himself, take up his cross,  and follow me”  Matt 16:24

Sunday –  a day of   

Monday – a day of strong  

Tuesday – a day of

Wednesday – a day of       

Thursday – a day of fellowship &

Jesus was eating the meal with his disciples

  “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.”     Luke 22:15

Jesus initiated a new sacrament of with the bread and wine

 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” Luke 22:19 (NIV)

In the same way,  after supper he took the cup, saying,  “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”   Luke 22:19b-20

  For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)
