Shockwaves of Joy

Luke 24:1-12

Jesus’ resurrection has caused shockwaves of   

His Holy week journey began with expectations  

Triumphant expectations turned into despair   

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Matthew 16:21 (NIV)

With wondrous the women listened to the angels

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6  He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:5-6

            Truths that break forth because of Jesus’ Resurrection 

1  Jesus is God’s

these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31 (NIV)

2  Jesus is God’s

 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

3  Jesus’ word proves

25  “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26  But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:25-26 (NIV)

             Resurrection Results:

love

                 Jesus’ continues to create shockwaves of joy!
