(Proverbs 29:18 KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish.
(Proverbs 29:18 NIV) Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint.
(Proverbs 29:18 MSG) If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.
(Psalm 16:11 NLT) You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
(John 10:10 NIV) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
(John 15:8 NIV) This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
(John 15:11 NIV) I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
My ultimate in life is to make a for eternity.
Go Change the World.
(John 17:18 MSG) In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I give them a mission in the world.
(Acts 20:24 NIV) However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
(Acts 1:8 NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- Jerusalem: Those closest to me.
- Judea & Samaria: Those close to me but are different from me.
- Ends of the earth: Those who are far from us.
1. change world.
(Mark 5:18-20 NLT) As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. 19But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been20So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.
(Luke 10:1-9 NIV) After this the Lord seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
1. Bless them.
(Proverbs 18:21 NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
(Colossians 4:6 NLT) Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
2. Fellowship with them. – just hang out with them.
3. Minister to them. – identify a need they have and try to meet their needs.
(Proverbs 3:27-28 MSG) Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person. Never tell your neighbors to wait until
tomorrow if you can help them now.
4. Tell them – tell them what God has done for you!
(Acts 1:8 NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
2. make a difference my world.
(1 Corinthians 9:22 NLT) When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.
(Galatians 6:2 MSG) Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law.
3. change the world.
(Mark 16:15 NCV) Jesus said to His followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.”
(Mark 10:29 LB) Jesus replied, “Let me assure you that no one has ever given up anything… for love of Me and to tell others the Good News, who won’t be given back, a hundred times over…”
“I will never be satisfied making a dollar when my purpose is to make a difference.”
The Realization: the is our purpose.
