(1 Corinthians 2:1-2 Message) “You’ll remember, friends, that when I first came to you, I didn’t try to impress you with polished speeches and the latest philosophy. I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and who he is; then Jesus and what he did–Jesus crucified.”

 (Ephesians 5:1 Message) “Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love.”

(Ephesians 5:1 NIV) “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children…”

(Matthew 6:34 NLT) So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

(Hebrews 11:1 NLT) Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

(Matthew 26:39 NLT) He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

(1 Peter 2:21 NIV) “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”

  1. How to show . – Forgiveness

(John 15:17 NIV) This is my command: Love each other.

(John 15:12 NLT) This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

(Luke 23:34 NIV) Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Forgiveness is how God transforms our pain, so we don’t transfer our pain.

BIG IDEA: Jesus did not come to earth just to die, He came to teach us how to live.

(Matthew 11:28-30 MSG) “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
