Proverbs 29:18 (NASB)
18Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
Nehemiah is a great Old Testament story that teaches the church about the importance of having a proper vision. Here is what a church with vision looks like…
#1. They see detours as OPPORTUNITIES. (Nehemiah 1:1-4)
Nehemiah’s world was turned upside down and it changed his desires. Have your eyes been open to the things of God with all that has changed recently?
#2. They believe PRAYER is essential. (Nehemiah 1:5-11)
When problems and difficulty come your way, your prayer life must flourish.
#3. They focus on the GATE. (Nehemiah 2:11-17)
Nehemiah was chiefly concerned with how people could enter the city of Jerusalem. Are you concerned with showing people how to enter into a relationship with the Lord?
You can honor God in your life when you…
REFLECT on your experience
How have you been changed during the pandemic?
RENEW your relationship with God
How’s your prayer life going?
RESPOND to Christ
Have you entered into a relationship with the Lord? Are you telling others?
