And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you…. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation (ethnos) will rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

I. How to Treat the Pastors (vv.12-13)

II. How to Treat Each Other (vv.14-15)

1. Lovingly have the conversation with the spiritually

warn, admonish: noutheteo – to caution or reprove gently (Strong’s)

2. Encourage the fainthearted struggling with

oligopsuchos: “small-souled” (oligos: “small” – psuche: “the soul”)

3. Help the weak: Meet

weak: asthenes – strengthless (in various applications, literal, figurative and moral)

more feeble (KJV) sick, without strength (Strong’s)

unable to achieve anything great (Thayer’s)

(v.15) “One another” is the church

“All people” are those the church
