GENERATE – Reach Emphasis

Every follower of Jesus can GENERATE a deeper passion and impact for REACH by embracing these THREE emphases:

Emphasis #1—PURPOSE = The Glory of God

Emphasis #2—PLAN = The Gospel of Christ

Emphasis #3—PARTICIPATION = Going as a Church

Emphasis #1—PURPOSE = The Glory of God

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;

PSALM 19:1 (ESV)
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

ROMANS 11:36 (ESV)
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Emphasis #2—PLAN = The Gospel of Christ

JOHN 1:14 (ESV)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

… it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…

MATTHEW 28:18-20 (ESV)
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

LUKE 19:10 (ESV)
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.”

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne…

Emphasis #3—PARTICIPATION = Going as a Church

MATTHEW 9:35-38 (ESV)
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

…from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
