A WOMAN WHO NEVER GAVE UP!
MARK 5:25-30 (NIV)

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
Mark 5:25-33 (NIV)
And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.
2 IMPORTANT THINGS WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY
#1—Life will be difficult at times!
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. 26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. Mark 5:25-26 (NLT)
“In this world you will have trouble.” John 16:33 (NIV)
1. When you’re not in fellowship with other Christians it can cause you to lose faith in Jesus!
And a woman was there… Verse 25
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NLT)
2. When your circumstances don’t change it can cause you to lose faith in Jesus!
And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. Verse 25
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
This woman’s story screams…Don’t give up! Keep the faith!
3. When you’ve been disappointed over and over and over again it can cause you to lose faith in Jesus!

4. When you’ve run out of recourses it can cause you to lose your faith in Jesus!

5. When your situation gets worse and worse instead of getting better it can cause you to lose your faith in Jesus!

#2—We learn that you have to actually take a
step of faith if you want to deepen your faith!
When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Mark 5:27-28
1. She heard about Jesus.
2. She thought about Jesus.
3. She reached out for Jesus.
(This is where she demonstrated her trust or faith in God)
She took action! She took a step of faith!
