The Unnamed Woman – John 4:1-6

What is Universalism? 

Simply, is the belief that the grace and mercy of God will and all people will be saved in the end. 

Universalism is and not compatible with the authentic Christian faith

The Differences between Nicodemus and the unnamed woman: 

I. The woman was from and Nicodemus Judea 

One of the greatest things about this story is that Jesus has a conversation with a woman from Samaria — it is such as simple thing — he just starts talking to her — it is a trivial thing in so many ways — but yet it is something that many of us never do — have an intentional conversation with someone about the gospel.

II. Nicodemus was a moral person and the woman was

Nicodemus is an example that one that cannot rise high enough to be salvation

The unnamed woman is an example that one can sink too low to be of salvation

What Nicodemus and the Unnamed woman had in common:

I. They both thought they were in a spiritually

2. They both reacted to Jesus’ teaching in a very literal and way

3. They were both spiritually even though they denied it

4. They were both spiritually
