1. What in the sermon prompted you to change how you live or move you to action this week?
2. Read Acts 2:1-3, Exodus 3:2, Exodus 24:17. On the day of Pentecost the disciples experienced a supernatural presence with the Holy Spirit . Based on the descriptions given in Acts, and Exodus, what evidence do we have that it was indeed the Holy Spirit that the disciples encountered.
3. Read Acts 2:4-13. The power of the Holy Spirit revealed himself to the people in Jerusalem through the disciples declaring God through the speaking of foreign languages of the crowd. This left many in awe and wonder at what they were witnessing. Why is it important that the power of the Holy Spirit be involved in our witnessing to others?
4. Read Ephesians 5:18-20 and Colossians 3:16. What stands out to you about the Spirit’s influence on us and how we share that with each other?
5. What do you think the role of the Holy Spirit is in prayer?

Prayer

Holy Spirit we thank you for being our Advocate, praying on our behalf. Help us to not grieve you, but instead, to surrender and submit to the Lord Jesus Christ. Please fill our hearts so that they are overflowing with songs of praise, that we may testify of your glory to all those you have placed in our lives. Application: Commit to asking the Holy Spirit to fill you this week and use you as a witness. Listen for His promptings and resign yourself to follow Him no matter what. Be prepared to share with your small group next week what transpired.
