The Journey
Life's hard. It is tough and scary at times to follow God's will and plan. But he doesn't leave us. And helps us get through the difficulties of life.
We’ll be going back to the Old Testament and studying the story of a woman whose name we do not even know, but who exemplified faithfulness and commitment to the Lord. She endures hardship, yet is faithful in the midst of tragedy.
Just like today, there are many who scoff at the idea of Jesus' second coming. This week we'll look at Peter's advice for early church on how to deal with scoffers, but more importantly take hold of the practical advice for believers who await Jesus' return.
Much like today, Peter and the early believers dealt with a tremendous amount of hate, suspicion, and unrest. How do we deal with those who intentionally cause division and unrest, both in the faith and outside? Join us this week as we study some practical wisdom from Peter on how to deal with the "haters".
To make a great cake, it takes time, effort, and great ingredients. Likewise, to build our faith, we need a solid foundation. This week we'll be looking at what ingredients are necessary to build a strong faith foundation from Peter's second letter.
Have you ever felt misunderstood, or you just can't win? Or perhaps the deck is stacked against you? How should we respond when adversity strikes? This week we'll be looking at how we should respond when challenging times come, and the responsibility of those who are older in the faith have to mentoring younger believers.
As we continue through our small group series, Peter calls for us to submit to various authorities. But what does that mean for us in today's context? Is Peter's suggestion even relevant for today? Find out this week as we continue to learn from Peter's first letter.
Hope Floats
To begin our new small group series, we'll be studying the first chapters of 1st Peter, and the great inheritance of hope and salvation we have as God's children. We'll also see why Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, and why we must develop our relationship with Him.

This week we'll continue our sermon series on lessons from our past as an Adventist church, how the pioneers of the Adventist church went out into the world to share the good news of Jesus' return, but also struggled to be united on the topic of salvation. We'll compare and contrast these lessons with the early church, and the present church.
This week we'll be looking specifically at the early history of the Adventist church, and the hard and humbling lessons that the early Adventist church pioneers learned from and continue to inform us as a church. We'll take these lessons and compare them to the present church and glean the lessons that can better equip us for ministry in today's context.
This week we'll be looking at the early church found in the Bible, and the lessons that we can take from this time period that has shaped the church and compare it to our present context. We'll find that there are many similarities, but also differences from which we can learn.
To conclude our series we will look at chapter 16 where three women go to visit the tomb of Jesus and are surprised by the angels who tell them to go and tell the disciples that He is risen.
An Unjust Death For A Just Savior
As we march closer to the end of our series, we will look at the most pivotal points of Jesus life through His arrest, trial, and death. All of this will build to the centurion who proclaims "truly this man was God's Son!".
Jesus enters Jerusalem on a donkey, not the majestic rollout that is usually afforded a ruler. This week we will see that Jesus must patiently and firmly deal with a contentious religious leadership team that opposes Him, and the disciples continually missing the mark.
To Jerusalem And Beyond
From chapters 8-10 we see a literal and figurative shift in Jesus' ministry toward Jerusalem. Jesus will heal two men who are blind, His 3 predictions that He will die, the disciples being spiritually blind to His message. How do all of these issues tie together?
Sinners to Saints
Jesus is not just interested in the salvation of the Jewish nation. The gospel He preaches is for all. This week Bill will lead us as we look at Jesus' ministry to the Gentiles in Galilee.
In Mark 3-6, we find Jesus' message challenges his family, the religious leaders, and the crowds following Him. What is the secret that Jesus carries, that can give hope to the world?
The Call To Participate
This week we look at the opportunity that Jesus gives to the early disciples, and eventually to us to participate in the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus. This calling is one that should not be taken lightly, but will transform our life.
To kick off our new series, we will look at the primary purpose of the gospel of Mark, the 4 identity descriptions of Jesus throughout the Gospel of Mark, and additional background themes to provide context for this series.
From Jacob and Esau, Edom has been at odds with Israel. God sees this conflict, and warns Edom to change its ways, and that God has not forgotten how Edom has treated their kin. God will restore Israel to Better Than New.
For our third and final sermon on the book of Joel Bill will discuss how God is faithful and truly desires to bless God's people and bring into accountability those who have wronged them. He will make things Better Than New, if we allow him.
For our second sermon our Better Than New series, we look to the second chapter of Joel where we discover that God is calling the people to repentance, but God is also a God of plenty, and the promise of the Spirit.
The Wake-Up Call
This week we begin a new series focusing on some of the minor prophets titled Better Than New! Specifically, we'll be looking at Joel and Obadiah. To begin our series, we'll be studying the first chapter of Joel, where God sends a mighty wake-up call to God's people.
Will Jesus Really Return?
For many years, followers of Jesus have been waiting for Jesus to triumphantly return to gather His faithful believers. Yet with this long waiting period, some of have grown weary and question…will Jesus return? This week we'll look to the Bible and be reminded of the promise of our Savior's return.

This week we'll be exploring and learning why Jesus' resurrection is tantamount to our faith and the hope and confidence we have in Him.
Did Jesus Doubt…
The gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke share a story of how Jesus struggled in the garden of Gethsemane. Some say He doubted. This week we'll be studying this important point in Jesus' ministry and discover some important lessons that we can incorporate into our faith journey.
Last week we discussed and learn that God truly does love and redeemed us. But when suffering and hardship enters into our lives, we sometimes question and begin to doubt God's love. This week we'll look to scripture and glean some lessons on how to deal with pain and suffering.
Can God Truly Love and Forgive Me…
Love, grace, forgiveness…these are terms that we say and share with others, but do we truly believe them? Mistakes we make can cause us to question and doubt that God's love is real. This week we'll be looking to the life of David and learn his example that God's love and grace are real and better than we can imagine.
This week we begin a new sermon and small group series called I Doubt It. All of us have experienced doubt at some point. Whether it is self-doubt, in others, or even God. Is it ok to doubt?
Have you ever wondered what is the importance of worship? Why do we gather every week to sing, pray and study? This week Bill will be sharing some lessons and important reminders of why we not only come together to worship God, but also spend time together as a church community.
Hey There Neighbor
To close out our series on relationships, we will focus on how we can best connect and minister to our neighbors. Jesus famously said, "Love your neighbor as yourself". We'll be looking at several examples of scripture on how we can not only love our literal neighbors, but also those that we meet in our daily lives.
Family Matters
Michael J. Fox once said "Family is not an important thing. It's Everything." For our third sermon on relationships, we will look at the importance of family and how we can better connect with our immediate and extended family.
Mawage
In light of Valentines this week, we will be looking at the wonderful gift of marriage. Every marriage has it joys and challenges. We'll explore several key ingredients to a healthy marriage, and how we can successfully connect with out spouse.
For the month of February, we will be studying the fundamental ingredients of healthy relationships. To kick off our series we will look at the basics of friendship, and how we can connect better to create a healthy thriving church.
The Bible to some may just be a collection of writings over many years and thrown together. However, for Jesus followers, the Bible reveals the character of God, wisdom for life, and building up our faith. This week we'll study and explore the necessity and relevance to our life and faith development as followers of Jesus.
What's So Important About Prayer?
Prayer…is it just me talking to myself, or does it really have any meaning, or power? This week we'll take a deep dive into the Bible and learn from several Bible characters why prayer is so important for our faith development.
