Part 1 – Jesus was a Real Person

“Now faith confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1.

In the Bible, when we see the word “hope”, it contains

  • % of adults in the UK either don’t believe Jesus was a real person or weren’t sure he was real.
  • % of 18-34 year olds actually believed He was a “mythical or fictional character.” (Church of England, 2015).
  • % of Americans believe in a higher power of some kind, but not the God described in the Bible.
  • % don’t believe in any kind of higher power. (Pew Research, 2017)

For to us a child is born,

    to us a son is given,

    and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called

    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Three Ancient Authors Who Authentic the Existence of Jesus

  • Jewish historian (AD 93)

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Immanuel and Jesus together mean: “!”

Confirmed from these three sources:

1) Jesus was a Jewish in the early first century.

2) Jesus claimed to be the .

3) Jesus was by the Romans between AD 26-36

4) Jesus was by committed followers as God.

What is the Christmas story and the life lessons from the major players?

Mary – the mother of Jesus.

18 …but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18b

31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. Luke 1:31-32

  • yourself to the Lord’s in your life!

Joseph

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

  • the Lord even when it’s not easy.

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. Matthew 1:24.

The Shepherds

The Wise Men

and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

  • , no matter how far you may be from Him!

11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Matthew 2:11

Jesus claimed to be that promised Savior.
