LIFE’S BETTER ON A STICK

Part 3 of 3

June 21st, 2026

The word of the Lord came to me: Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him. Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, Belonging to Joseph (That is, to Ephraim) and all the Israelites associated with him. Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand. (Ezekiel 37:15-17) Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.         (Proverbs 27:17 ESV)

1. the lie that I am

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

…Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. (Proverbs 18:1)

2. Admit that divide people.

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.   (James 4:1-2)

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven, if there was anything to forgive, I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. (2 Corinthians 2:10-11)

3. Let what life has

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility… (Ephesians 2:13-14)

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:13-14)

4. Move from

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

(Romans 12:4-5)

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.            (Galatians 6:2)
