Life’s Better On A Stick – Part 1 of 3
“The Lord said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ Moses answered, ‘It is my walking stick.’” Exodus 4:2 (NCV)
“As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified, and they cried out to the Lord.” Exodus 14:10
FOUR WAYS FEAR AFFECTS US:
- Fear makes us
“They said to Moses, ‘Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us out to die in the desert?’”

“…What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?”

“‘Did we not say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone. Let us serve the Egyptians?’” Exodus 14:12a

HOW TO TAKE RISKS IN FAITH

Why God leads you into impossible situations?
❖ For God’s
God: “Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are wandering around in the land of confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for Myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.’ So the Israelites did this.”

“Moses answered the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance of the Lord that He will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you only need to be still.’”

3. IN FAITH.
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Why are you crying to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.’” Exodus 14:15-16
“Moses stretched his rod over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the sea, with walls of water on each side; and a strong east wind blew all that night, drying the sea bottom. So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground!” Exodus 14:21-22 (LB)
