“Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”                                                                                                                    (Nehemiah 4:14)

1. for this generation.

Pray for them to and

“Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.”                                (Psalm 34:11NIV)

Pray for them to be surrounded with

“Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.  (Psalm 5:12 MIV)

Pray for God to bring them and

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”                                                                          (Proverbs 27:17 NLT)

2. church.

“He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.”                                                                                                                                        (Luke 4:16 NIV)

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching”. (Hebrews 10:23-25 NIV)

3. in the development of the younger generation.

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”                                   (2 Timothy 2:2 NLT)

Be an to them.

Be for them.

Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should. (Psalm 90:12 LB)

Be about them.

(Abraham) is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed–the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.                                                                                                              (Romans 4:17 NIV)
