Jehovah-M’Kiddish = “I am the God who sanctifies you.”

1.THE PROCESS GOD USES TO CHANGE US

 

Phase 1: Feeling 

“My heart is troubled and restless.”     Job 30:27 (LB)

  

Phase 2: Intense

“God sometimes uses sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from sin…”  2 Corinthians 7:10 (LB)

 

“Sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways.” Proverbs 20:30 (GN)

 

Phase 3: Make A

“We choose the sounds we want to listen to; we choose the taste we want in food, and we should choose to follow what is right.” Job 34:3-4 (LB)

Phase 4: Gain

 “Do not change yourselves to be like the people of this world. But be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you. And you will be able to know what is good and pleasing to God and what is perfect.” Romans 12:2 (NCV)

 

“…the truth will set you free.”  John 8:32 (LB)

 

Phase 5:

“Faith, if it is not accompanied by ACTION, is dead.”  

James 2:17

 

Phase 6: Commitment To

“Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better.”  Ephesians 4:23 (LB)

2. HOW TO COOPERATE WITH GOD’S PROCESS

 

Step 1:  Accept God’s

“God will encourage the fainthearted, those tempted to despair.”  Isaiah 42:3 (LB)

 

Jonah: “When I had lost all hope, I turned my thoughts once more to the Lord.”  Jonah 2:7 (LB)

 

Step 2:  Ask God For

“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up…” Isaiah 43:2

 

Step 3:  Apply God’s

“The whole Bible…is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right.”  2 Timothy 3:16 (LB)

 

“Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says.”  James 1:22 (NIV)

 

Step 4: Continue In  For You.

“Let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.”  Galatians 6:9 (LB)
