FLOATING IN THE RIVER 

Imagine God thinking about you. What do you assume God feels when you come to mind?

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 

1 John 4:16 (NIV)

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 (NIV) 

Fear is often a substitute for . 

People who live in fear feel compelled to remain in . 

Energy invested in maintaining and comfort always depletes energy available for of others. 

Surrender is the discovery that we are in a of love and that we without having to do anything. 

Those who surrender , but not all who obey surrender. 

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15 (ESV) 

Christian obedience is more like what give each their fathers than what give their superiors. 

No one can change until they first   themselves as they are. 

PRAYER: 

“God, I resign as the manager of my own worth. I accept that I am surrounded by a river of love. I surrender my will to Yours, not out of fear, but because You are safe. I choose to float.”
