Identifying- Angels, Demons, Holy Spirit

1. Angels

A. Origin:

“Praise the Lord, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands.” 

Psalm 103:20(NIV)

B. Mission: 

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:14 (NIV)

C. Role In Spiritual Warfare:

“Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.” Acts 12:7 (NIV)

2. Demons

A. Origin:

“Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon lost… This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil—was thrown down to earth with all his angels. “Revelation 12:7-9 (NLT)

B. Mission: 

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)

C. Role In Spiritual Warfare:

3. Holy Spirit

A. Origin:

“The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis 1:2 (NIV)

B. Mission: 

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said.” John 14:26 (NIV)

C. Role In Spiritual Warfare:

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8 (ESV)
