- By And Them.
“Listen to your father who gave you your life and do not despise your mother.” Proverbs 23:22
“If you curse your parents, your life will end like a lamp that goes out in the dark.” Proverbs 20:20
“Be grateful for the good things that the Lord has given you and your family.” Deuteronomy. 26:11
“When your mother is old, show her your appreciation.” Proverbs 23:22
- By And Not Abandoning Them.
“Give respect to your father and mother, for without them you wouldn’t even be here. And don’t neglect them when they grow old.” Proverbs 23:22 (TPT)
“There are some people who ruin their own lives and then blame it all on God.” Proverbs 19:3 (TPT)
“And now a word to you parents: Don’t keep on scolding and nagging your children, making them angry and resentful. Rather, bring them up with loving discipline the Lord himself approves, with suggestions and godly advice.” Ephesians 6:4 (LB)
“Give respect to your father and mother, for without them you wouldn’t even be here. And don’t neglect them when they grow old.” Proverbs 23:22 (TPT)
- By And Not Avoiding Their Life Teaching.
“I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:3-7
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:26 (NKJV)
“Keep you fathers commands and do not forsake you mothers teaching. Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life.” Proverbs 6:21-23
“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.” Proverbs 3:27
