I. THE LOST SON & LOVING FATHER: LUKE 15:11-24

1. Get Fed up with my

2. Own up to my 

“When he came to his senses, he said…“I have sinned against God and you…” Luke 15:17-18 (NIV)

3. Offer up 

The son drifted away saying, “GIVE ME MY share… He returned to the Father saying, “MAKE ME a servant” Luke 15:12, 19(NIV)

THE FATHER’S RESPONSE

“Filled with love and compassion, he ran out to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him…Bring the best…” Luke 15:20, 22 (NIV)

II. THE OLDER BROTHER & THE LOVING FATHER: LUKE 15:25-31

1. Get Fed up with your 

“The older brother became angry and refused to go in…Look all these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate…But when this son of yours who has squandered your property…you kill for him.” Luke 15: 28-30(NIV)

2. Own up to my

THE FATHER’S RESPONSE

“…Father went out and pleaded with him.”

3. Recognize 

“My son, the father said, you are always with me and everything I have is yours.” Luke 15:31(NIV)

“…celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive…” Luke 15:32 (NIV)
