Love is Communal // The Power Of Love [Part 5 of 7]

When decreases, increases.

Following Jesus will always lead you into

 

Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, and they want to speak to you.” Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.  Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Jesus’s call was to put ahead of your family line

 

He said to another person, “Come, follow me.” The man agreed, but he said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.”

Jesus believed the church to be a , not a

 

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.                                           John 1:12-13 NLT

 

Community leads me to a of God

 

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.                                                    

Acts 2:42-43 NLT

 

Community requires &

 

Oh, dear Corinthian friends! We have spoken honestly with you, and our hearts are open to you. There is no lack of love on our part, but you have withheld your love from us. I am asking you to respond as if you were my own children. Open your hearts to us!

Community is where we

 

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
