Love Is Humble // Power Of Love [Part 2 Of 7]

April 23, 2023

“Love…is not conceited or proud.” 1 Cor. 13:4 (GN)

“My children, let us not love merely in theory or in words-let us love in sincerity and in practice!” 1 John 3:18 (PHILLIPS)

HABITS OF HUMILITY by practicing:

  1. GIVING TO OTHERS.

“…give preference to one another in honor.” Romans 12:10 (NASB)

“Don’t push your way to the front…put yourself aside and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourself long enough to lend a helping hand. Think of yourselves the way Jesus thought of Himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself…but He set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave…it was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead He lived a selfless obedient life…” Philippians 2:3-8 (MSG)

  1. YOUR PLANS TO GOD.

“God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit therefore to God.” James 4:6-7 (NASB)

“This is what the Lord requires from you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to live humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 (GW)

“All who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.” Psalm 37:11 (TLB)
