Three ways you grow in faith

1. Faith is believing God’s dream for my life. 

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18

How to get God’s dream for your life

∙ Dare to ask God.

“God, by His mighty power at work within us, is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” Ephesians 3:20 (LB)

∙ Believe God’s promises.

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jer. 32:27 (NLT) 

∙ Dream Big. 

“Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” Psalm 2:8

2. Faith is being willing to risk failure.

“They risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 15:26 (NAS)

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18

3. Faith is expecting God to bless and use me. 

“I expect and hope that I will not fail Christ in anything but that I will have the courage now… to show the greatness of Christ in my life here on earth, whether I live or die.” Philippians 1:20 (NCV)

“I believe I shall enjoy the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13 (NAB) 

“According to your faith will it be done to you.” Matthew 9:29

“Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see.”
