HOW SHOULD I GIVE?

Giving: any monetary amount given to God

Tithing: bringing a tenth of my earnings to God

“A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.” Leviticus 27:30 (NIV)

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem. 1 Corinthians 16:1-3 (ESV)

Then the leaders of the fathers’ houses, leaders of the tribes of Israel, the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king’s work, offered willingly… Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the Lord.  1 Chronicles 29:6 (NKJV)

I believe in God’s vision for the church.

Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!
