FIVE STEPS TO FINDING YOUR WAY BACK

1. When God Gives You A Way Of Escape… !

1 Sam. 29:10,11 Achish said: “Now get up early, along with your master’s servants who have come with you, and leave in the morning as soon as it is light. VS11 So David and his men got up early in the morning to go back…”

2. When You Need God’s Encouragement… !

1 Sam. 30:6 “David found strength in the Lord his God.”

(NKJV) “David strengthened himself in the Lord his God”

(KJV) “David Encouraged himself in the Lord His God.”

3. When You Want God’s Partnership… !

1 Sam. 30:8 “David Inquired of the Lord.”

4. When God Gives You Grace… !

1 Sam. 30:22-24 ““But all the evil men and troublemakers among David’s followers said, ‘Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered. However, each man may take his wife and children and go.’”

VS23 “David replied, ‘No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the LORD has given us. He has protected us and handed over to us the forces that came against us. 24 Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”

5. When Surrounded By People Needing Hope… !

1 Sam. 30:26 “David…sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a present for you from the plunder of the LORD’S enemies.”

1 Pt. 3:15 “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”
