When God doesn’t do it,

Will you still Trust Him

William Laws

  1. When faithfulness to God leads to suffering. Daniel 3:16-18

The three Hebrew boys found themselves in a circumstance whether to obey civil law

our to trust the God they served. They knew the Ten Commandments reads you must not have any other God but me. They didn’t swear struggle or try to retaliate against those who tried to harm them but left their case in the hands of the God they served. To truly be a Christ follower and live in his footsteps you must learn by suffering without retaliation. 1Peter 2:21-23

         2. When The Lord our God doesn’t remove the pain. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Believers should expect suffering as an inevitable part of their calling. To believe is not to evade suffering but to face it with new confidence and hope. God didn’t just remove the pain but the Apostle Paul had to learn how to live using Gods strength not

his own. Isn’t it amazing that when we surrender the struggle the power of God falls on us and lifts the burden of our weakness. Sometimes the pain is still there but your hope is in Gods mighty hands. Matthew 26:38-39

        3. If God doesn’t do it for you he’s working on doing something in you. James1:2-4

God is not trying to save your flesh! He’s wants to strengthen you spiritually so that you’ll stop relying on your feelings aka your flesh but trust the Holy Spirit. So yes he has to shut some stuff down and don’t give you everything you want and when you get through kicking and screaming your Heavenly Father will be right there to pick you up and start the process over until you mature to do his divine will. This process of living according to God’s will produces the fruit of the Spirit he desires in his children’s lives. Ephesians 4:14-15

        4. Praise God on the mountain but truly praise him in the valley. Acts 16:22-29

The old saying goes, fruit doesn’t grow on the mountain top but surely grows in

the valley. The Apostle Paul and his ministry partner Silas experienced great

success in Philippi sharing the Gospel at a prayer meeting. Lydia and members

of her household believed and where baptized. Paul and Silas were thankful for

the move of God until Paul cast a demon out of a slave girl who brought her

owners great wealth. A mob broke out beating them severely and putting them

in prison. At midnight Paul and Silas began praying and singing. Psalms 34:1 KJV
