Who is This Jesus?

How’s Your Vision?

Mark 8:22-30

Seeing Jesus Clearly

1. Jesus doesn’t always work the !

He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”  Vs. 23

2. Spiritual Growth is a not a one-time

Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.  Vs. 23-25

Spiritual

Spiritual

Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?  Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?  Vs. 17-18

Spiritual

Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.” Vs. 27-29

3. The most important Question I’ll ever answer: “who do say is?”

On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.” Vs. 27-29

Seeing Jesus clearly is in my life

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.”

Matthew 16:15-17
