Pastor Blake Hanson | 10.21.26
Luke 6:27–28 (NLT)
27“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.
28Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
WHY WE PRAY FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE IN OUR LIFE…
1. PRAYING FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE CHANGES OUR TOWARD THEM.
Numbers 12:13 (NLT)
13So Moses cried out to the Lord, “O God, I beg you, please heal her!”
2. PRAYING FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE RELEASES WHAT WE CANNOT .
Romans 12:19 (NLT)
19Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.
3. PRAYING FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE DEVELOPS OUR .
Luke 6:35–36 (NLT)
35“Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.
36You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
HOW WE WILL PRAY FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE…
1. God, bless them. Work in their life. Draw them closer to you. Give them what they truly need.
2. God, search me. Reveal any bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, or wrong attitude in my heart.
3. God, lead me. Give me wisdom to respond with grace, truth, courage, and appropriate boundaries.
