The God Made Known In Stillness

Pastor Steve Anderson   |  10.14.2026

John 17:3

3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Jeremiah 9:23–24

23 Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might…

24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.

Isaiah 43:10

10 …..You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.

God wants to be known…personally, intimately.  And He made a way so we can.

And it involves our SPIRIT,SOUL, AND BODY

Psalm 46:10

10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

Hebrew: “Be Still” – raphah – to sink down, relax, let go, cease striving.

God TELLS us how to begin the process:

Psalm 4:4:

4“…. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still.”

“Being Still” comes from having a place

Psalm 62:1-2, 5 & 8

1 I wait quietly before God, for my vic:tory comes from him.

2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. …….

5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.……

8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Psalm 37:7-8

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

You have to do the mental of clearing your mind of your problems.

By Releasing and Exercising

By Shifting   to the supreme authority (“I am God”) of the One on the throne.

By developing a Perspective: Personal peace is tied to recognizing a grander, unstoppable divine purpose.

By

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
