Luke 11:9-13 (NLT)

9 And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 11 “You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead?

12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not!

13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give…

Ephesians 3:12 (ESV)

12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (ESV)

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 1

5 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:20 (ESV)

20…is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Ephesians 3:16 (ESV)

16…to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being

The Holy Spirit is the source of for answered prayer.

1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Romans 8:34 (NLT)

34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Acts 1:8 (NLT)

18 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

Jude 1:20 (NLT)

20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

What changed in the New Testament was the .

Luke 11:13 (NLT)

13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.

The we pray, the He enables us to pray and the larger measure of Himself He gives to us.
