Unacceptable Yet Accepted
June 10, 2026 /Unacceptable Yet Accepted
Pastor Steve Anderson | 06.10.2026
I Am unacceptable in my sin, but FULLY acceptable, loved, favored, and secure IN JESUS.
1) You Can Be Acceptable/Accepted Through Christ
Hebrews 11:6
6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Ephesians 1:4
4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and (He) chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
2) Nothing you can make you MORE acceptable.
Ephesians 1:6
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, God made us accepted in the Beloved (in Jesus).
We have an Innate Desire for Validation and

the Mystery of Grace and Release Self-Reliance.
Your Devotion.
You Enjoy Acceptance.
:
We need to accept that we are accepted
Shift to Grace:
Recognize that faith and God’s grace makes you acceptable, not your own merits.
Repentance:
If your feelings stem from guilt, bring them to God
and Reflect:
Write down your fears to identify why you feel this way. Question if you would speak to someone else as harshly as you speak to yourself.
Ground Yourself in :
Read scripture to understand God’s character as loving and merciful, rather than punitive.
Community:
Talk to a trusted Christian friend or counselor to help navigate these feelings of shame.
