Matthew 24:11-12

11 And many false prophets (those who falsely claim to speak for Christ and his gospel) will appear and will deceive many people.

12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

Matthew 24:24

24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.

Types of Fraud:

Types of Fraud: Societal/Political/ Fraud

Types of Fraud: ….False Teachers/Prophets

John 8:44

44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Believing the Lie leads to a heart:

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

10 He (the Lawless one) will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.

11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.

12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.

Wounds in life lies that we believe.

Believe the who the truth and then repeat His truths instead of repeating and believing the lies!

John 8: 25-31

25 “Who are you?” they demanded. Jesus replied, “The one I have always claimed to be.

26 I have much to say about you and much to condemn, but I won’t. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.”

27 But they still didn’t understand that he was talking about his Father.

28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I am he. I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me.

29 And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.” 30 Then many who heard him say these things believed in him.

31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 16:13 (NIV):

13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth”.

Psalm 119:160 (NIV):

160 “All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal”.

John 17:17 (NIV):

17 “Sanctify them/make them clean/ set them apart by the truth; your word is truth.”

The Holy Spirit “quickens”….brings God’s word to life in us

John 16:13

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard.
