DYNAMICS: Living With The People God Gave You (1) – Placed on Purpose
February 1, 2026DYNAMICS: Living With The People God Gave You (1) – Placed on Purpose
Pastor Blake Hanson | 2.1.26
God has placed people in our lives to us into who He’s calling us to become.
Acts 17:26–27 (NLT)
26From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.
27“His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.
1. GOD PLACES PEOPLE , NOT ACCIDENTALLY.
Acts 17:26 (NLT)
26From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.
Genesis 1:26–27 (NLT)
26Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
27So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
2. GOD PLACES PEOPLE CLOSELY TO SHAPE US .
Mark 3:14 (ESV)
14And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him…
Proverbs 13:20 (NLT)
20Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
3. GOD PLACES PEOPLE TO REVEAL OUR CHARACTER BEFORE OUR .
Romans 5:3–4 (NLT)
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.
4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
Colossians 3:12–13 (NLT)
12Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
4. GOD PLACES PEOPLE TO LEARN ON HIM.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
John 15:5 (NLT)
5“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
