Refreshed #1 – My Commitment
October 6, 2024Refreshed #1 – My Commitment
Pastor Blake Hanson | 10.6.24
Acts 2:1–4 (NLT)
1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.
2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.
3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.
4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
What was once fresh, left untouched, becomes stale.
Jesus did not come to do a new work in your life to see your life turn stale.
Acts 1:5 (NLT)
5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
WE ARE COMMITTED TO…
STAYING REFRESHED.
Proverbs 11:25 (NLT)
25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Acts 3:20 (NLT)
20 Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord…
Acts 2:1 (NLT)
1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.
REMAINING BIBLICAL.
Acts 2:13 (NLT)
13 But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!”
Luke 11:28 (NLT)
28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”
CREATING COMMUNITY.
Acts 2:6–7 (NLT)
6 When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by the believers.
7 They were completely amazed. “How can this be?” they exclaimed.
